Many developers are building cloud-native applications and are looking for ways to create maintainable, resilient, and performant applications. Eclipse MicroProfile optimizes enterprise Java applications for cloud native and microservices architectures. The specifications have been created by experts in the community and are backed by companies such as IBM, RedHat, Oracle, Tomitribe, and Payara—which makes it a great choice for developers like you.
In this hands-on course, software engineer Kate Stanley introduces MicroProfile and some of the fundamental specifications available, as well as how to add those specifications to an existing Open Liberty application. Kate also covers how to start bringing in higher-level MicroProfile specifications as your cloud-native applications mature.
AutoCAD 2024 is a powerful design and drafting software application used to create precise 2D and 3D designs. In this course, Autodesk Certified Instructor Shaun Bryant walks you through the essentials of AutoCAD, showing you how to get the most out of its processes and workflows so you can be a more efficient and productive AutoCAD user.
Discover how to use the ribbon, choose workspaces, and work with built-in tools such as the ViewCube and Navigation Bar to customize your design projects and drawings. Explore practice tips for managing units and options, drawing and modifying objects, working with dimensioning techniques, and utilizing attributes, tables, external references, viewports, annotation, and more. By the end of this course, you'll have the skills you need to share your designs with stakeholders, collaborate, and build consensus with your team.
We will begin with an interview of Jorge Urena, model agent for Industry Model Management in NY. I will ask him all the questions that photographers are always dying to know! What is an agent looking for when a photographer reaches out for a test? How do you get hired/paid for shooting model portfolios? Are mood boards important? You’ll learn all of his insights an more!
After the interview join me for a test shoot with two of Jorge’s newer models, helping them get some essential portfolio looks. When building a model’s book (aka portfolio) we are usually trying to showcase the model’s natural beauty, skills with posing/movement, multi angles of the subject’s face, and ability to emote.
During a test shoot, I typically will start with some cleaner and less stylized looks that showcase the subject as a raw canvas. After that has been accomplished, then I have more flexibility to move on to creative techniques (unusual lighting, hair, makeup and more). In this episodes we focus on cleaner looks that will make any agent happy to work with you as a photographer!
This tutorial will demonstrate my editing workflow for one of my signature style silhouettes.

Panel data is among the most complex data sources available to data analysis scientists. Analyzing such data requires an understanding of a new class of models that go beyond traditional linear regression techniques. In this course, professor of economics Franz Buscha introduces you to such models and highlights how and when to use them. Franz covers best practices, basic panel data setup, descriptive analysis, and advanced modeling techniques. He explains each topic theoretically and shows you a simple practical example. Franz goes over common panel data models, including FE and RE estimation, and explores advanced panel data techniques, such as Mundlak, dynamic, and nonlinear models.
