I’ve been pouring a ton of time into a new on-device culling feature that works with an external hard drive (the UT2). Once you insert your memory card, it automatically identifies potential best images—around 20–30% of duplicates—and sends them off for editing. Refer to this video/post if you missed what the heck I'm talking about.  But, I don't want you to have to own this drive just to get a lot of these features, so I’m also developing a Mac  app that monitors a chosen folder for new RAW files and applies the same AI duplicate detection/editing behind the scenes. For now it is technically only possible to use the editing side of this workflow if you have an Imagen account - no other ai editing service has an api available for me to tap into.

I made the attached video a few weeks ago for http://get-it-together.co.uk online summit created and hosted by a fellow patreon supporter here, Michaela! Now that the event is over, I asked her if it would be okay to share my entire presentation for everyone here, and she graciously said yes. If you find it help, then I hope you go check out all the other presentations she had at the event.  If you ever wondered about any layer of my client/admin workflow, then this is it... in its entirety. Initial inquiry reply, how I setup my CRM, various email tools including superhuman, when and how I send contracts, followup, pre-wedding questionnaires, delivery emails, and more.

MixingLight - Getting Started With Blackmagic Cloud Storage in DaVinci Resolve
MixingLight - Getting Started With Blackmagic Cloud Storage in DaVinci Resolve
https://mixinglight.com/color-grading-tutorials/get-started-blackmagic-cloud-storage/
  • Learn how to set up and share project media with collaborators in DaVinci Resolve with Blackmagic Cloud Storage and the BMD Camera App.
  • In the release of DaVinci Resolve 18.6, Blackmagic Design announced the ability to sync media through Blackmagic Cloud.
  • Previously, collaboration was limited to projects through the online Project Library (database), and you needed to find your own solution for media syncing. This provides an interesting new workflow option for teams to share projects and media in one inclusive system – completely controlled by DaVinci Resolve and Blackmagic Design ecosystem.
  • This does not, however, replace any of your other project/database options. You can also continue using the Cloud Project Library to share projects and sync media through other means. You are not required to use Blackmagic’s cloud storage.
