Melbourne based activewear company, Active Creatures, have been a long term client of Peter’s. He was their first photographer, and they still continue to use him for every collection they release.
In this 3 hour photoshoot, we completed look book plus editorial shots. Have your pen and paper ready!!!! There are so many tips and information in this tutorial that will help you with clients – all things Peter has learnt throughout his career.
Clients love and trust him because of his experience and how much knowledge he has which minimises problems during the shoot, or after. And when there is a problem, Peter is able to tackle them effortlessly.

Julia Yaroshenko is a Ukrainian freelance travelling model. Peter and I have known her iconic face for a while (always on 500px and even some photographers in the Peter Coulson Community), and were very excited when Julia e-mailed us letting us know of her travels to Melbourne.
These tutorials are a fly-on-the-wall, start to end of our photoshoot, interview & retouching.

- Follow along to create a floating fantasy scene for Unreal Engine using Houdini, Mixamo, Photoshop, and Character Creator. The workflow, tools, and principles taught have been used by Senior VFX Artist Keagan Williams on videogame titles such as Marvel’s Midnight Suns.
- The goal of this workshop is to guide you through the creation of the fantasy scene demonstrated by Keagan while also empowering you with the skills you need to efficiently, flexibly, and beautifully develop and express your own creative ideas.
- Primarily aimed at beginner to mid-level artists, this workshop is ideal for those looking to create real-time VFX portfolio pieces, particularly those that go beyond basic particle systems. The scene demonstrated through this workshop features a central VFX element, and Keagan also touches on the worlds of Houdini’s KineFX and Vellum, as well as stylized hair, lighting, blueprints, and more. Some basic Houdini and Unreal Engine knowledge is recommended.
- Tackling tricky VFX sequences involves an initial investment of time; however, you’ll discover that the techniques demonstrated will open you up to much greater creative freedom on your own projects.
- You can follow along using the character demonstrated in this workshop; alternatively, you can create or use your own. When following along with this tutorial, we recommend downloading the (free) Mixamo characters and animations as referenced by Keagan. Additionally, Keagan has provided the files needed for almost everything else seen in the workshop.

- This workshop is intended for beginner to immediate-level concept artists who have taken their first steps in Blender and those who are more advanced and want to build on top of their knowledge. Jonas covers the very basics of Blender, including navigation and modeling, and also delves into some more advanced plugins like Hardops, BoxCutter, and so on.
- In addition to Jonas’s demonstrations, he offers industry insights from his own career history, including what to expect when you are a young artist trying to get into the industry. He also offers his personal tips for staying motivated when for those already in the industry who may be feeling a little stuck.
- By the end of the workshop, you’ll have developed the skills needed to convert a 2D sketch into a 3D scene by creating 3D assets to speed up the process efficiently. Jonas’s Blender scene file and Photoshop file are included with this workshop to provide full visibility into how the final scene was created.
