Today we get to watch Sue during a Victorian Style shoot. Sue had an idea for a Victorian style shoot and she loved doing this shoot so much that she felt overwhelmed and nearly cried during it. She wanted to show you how you can get really creative with styling your client. Sue used two different gorgeous dresses for two different looks from an incredible dress designer R-Mine Bespoke and she shot her on her gold Oliphant backdrop. With a shoot like this, you want to feature the dress and hair and hairpiece, but don’t lose sight of making sure your client is still the focal point of the shoot.

This two part tutorial is from Peter and model Bonnee’s first shoot together, the fist part is is a fly-on-the-wall of the start of their shoot with Peter trying to break her as he always does when working with a model for the first time. You will see the change with her as they move into part two when she begins to drift more and even changes her ‘favourite’ side of her face after seeing herself like she never has before!

Peter finally has some time to do more of ‘his stuff’, and so we flew the awesome Bella over from LA for some shoots to create some awesome images! This shoot was one of their first ones together, adding on to Peter’s ‘nothing but boots’ series. Peter showed Bella the images he has already taken for the series and one of them really stood out to Bella in terms of lighting, so Peter tried to take this similar feel but also create a new awesome shot for the series!

We recently went to Fiji to create some awesome content, this tutorial is from Peter’s first shoot with Bec while we were there in the middle of the day on the beach with no reflectors or scrims!

This advanced 2-hour workshop covers the Unreal Engine 5 lighting workflows that Naughty Dog Lighting Artist, Ted Mebratu, uses to achieve cinematic results. Unreal’s Lumen is a very powerful Global Illumination system. However, when comparing it to static/baked methods, it can take some of the artistic control that Lightmaps make available to lighting artists. In addition, due to performance constraints of current hardware, there’s a limitation to how many runtime light sources you can place within a given scene using Lumen. With Lightmaps, however, this budget is practically infinite.
