Join popular lifestyle photographer Sean Dalton as he shows you how to capture visual stories with dark and moody food photography — the style that helped Sean establish himself as a photography influencer.
Dark & moody food photography is what Sean does. If you've seen his Instagram, you'd know that. But there is something deeper to these photos that you might not notice at first glance. Each photo tells it's own unique story, a story about a place, a person, or a culture. Together, they comprise a collection of works that aim to elicit emotions within their viewer. This aspect of emotional storytelling is central to any form of photography, and is one of the most crucial aspects to capturing powerful food photos.
In this 60 minute course, Sean breaks down his entire visual storytelling process, providing practical insight on how he achieves his unique food photography style. Some of the things you can expect from this course are:
Skin Tones are one of the most crucial things to get right when creating videos. As humans, we instantly notice when skin tones are off and often we dont even notice what exactly is wrong, before we change it.
In this short class I will teach you two different techniques to correct skin tones. Both are fast, effective and pretty easy to understand. This is not an in-depth advanced tutorial. You learn something, that can make your video much better in a couple of minutes rather than hours.

This course is an in detail demonstration of how a finished landscape image from the portfolio of landscape photographer Ted Gore is created from start to finish. The course begins with a breakdown of the concept, the composition, and the color theory behind the image, and then covers the processing beginning with the base raw processing in lightroom. Continuing on into photoshop, the course then shows all the steps of the process in photoshop covering the topics focus blending, focal length blending, adding light glow and accentuating scene light, transform warping for composition, sharpening for web, and more. Seeing the entire process is a great way to see lots of different techniques in practical application which you can then add to your own arsenal for processing your own images.
