What Makes This Course Different?

• Probably a weird question since you’re already here, but my intention is to provide as much value as possible with this course. And hopefully this video gives you the assurance you need to keep going with it.

What Nobody Likes to Talk About

• You may have heard these terms plenty of times now, so it may seem irrelevant to include here. However, I labeled this module what it is for a reason and learning light is as much an artistic endeavor as it is a technical one. So it only felt appropriate to touch on the hard subjects that artists deal with as well.

4 Mandates of an Artist

• You can take these “mandates” with a grain of salt, but they have helped me whenever I felt imposter syndrome or just overall inadequate with my work, let alone posting it. First, you must love what you are doing. Love the craft and the process. Second, build confidence. Confidence builds with practice, which is why I made assignments in this course. Take them seriously! Third, continue to learn. Never stop learning. I can’t stress that enough. And fourth, have fun and be playful with your art. Take your work seriously, but don’t take yourself too seriously. Let that show in your work.
