Texturing adds essential details and realism to 3D models, making them look more lifelike and interesting. With just shaders and plain materials, your models might feel flat or incomplete.The process of texturing involves applying images or procedural textures to 3D models to add detailed surface qualities like color and patterns. This process enhances the visual appeal of models by simulating intricate details and materials without adding extra geometry. Without effective texturing, achieving visually compelling and realistic results is challenging, as textures play a crucial role in bringing depth and character to your 3D projects. Rigging is the art of building the deformation structure and controls to articulate your 3d models. Rigging can be really complicated, so it's best to start at the start and go step by step. If your goal is to just learn enough to make that character you move - this is the course for you. If your goal is to learn to build super complicated rigs - this course is for you. Building a solid understanding of the fundamentals will help you achieve both of those goals.

In this 40+ lesson course about the fundamentals of materials and shading, you’ll learn everything you need to know about creating materials. Bear in mind, we won't be doing any blender modeling or retopology, composting or blender animations, our focus is a deep dive on the subject at hand. You'll also learn about all of the different shaders in Cycles and Eevee, the basics of how to add textures in Blender, the principles of physically based rendering which will make your materials more believable. Even the best models look bad with bad lighting, but bad models can look half-decent with great lighting. Lighting is both the sauce that makes your meal, but also the spice to hide it's flaws. While we were in Paris we did a shoot to submit for the awesome Livefast Magazine as they have been asking for more content from Peter. The space in the apartment was limited but the bedroom had a beautiful window light and looked classic Parisian, and we kept the styling super simple with just a sheet as every year in Paris we do a ‘sheet shoot’. This tutorial is a BTS of our shoot followed by a retouch.

We have recieved lots of requests to film some more outdoor shoots, and are so excited to bring you this natural light tutorial now that Melbourne is out of lockdown and the weather is heating up! Natural light is Peter’s favourite, and a lot of the time he finds stunning light in the ugliest locations – like car parks, as he is able to get a direction of light from all the different railings and concrete blocks.

We receive lots of requests so show how Peter shoots with flash at night time, and luckily we are in the middle of summer in Australia so it is finally warm enough to do a night time shoot. Peter’s approach to shooting with flash at night is fairly simple, and once he has his settings, that is it for the rest of the night.

Normal is a high end art magazine that Peter is a big fan of and has worked with numerous times in the past, and have asked him to submit another set. As they are based in France, he decided it would fit their brand to do a shoot with Anne in the beautiful Parisian apartment we were staying in. This is a BTS of their shoot together, along with all the retouched images for the submission.

This is the second time Peter got to shoot with Anne Duffy Paris, we had an amazing Airbnb with incredible natural light. Anne had a stunning cream slip to start with and Peters direction was for her to wear it a little bit like a floozy on a hot day in this incredible apartment.
