CGCookie - Fundamentals of Sculpting with Clay
https://cgcookie.com/courses/fundamentals-of-sculpting-with-clay
- The focus of this course is to provide you with the knowledge to build your own detachable armatures and a sturdy armature stand without having to go out and buy them for a lot more money. We will also go over what you need to be aware of when posing your armature and how to securely affix it to the armature stand. The next step is all about surface texturing and the various techniques needed to create convincing skin texture in form of wrinkles and pores. We will also take a look at various types of scars and their characteristics to help you to quickly add realistic effects to skin texture. You will learn how to tackle various types of hair styles so you can quickly give your figurine the desired hairdo, and we will look at different types of fur to convincingly texturize animals and creatures of your imagination. The last part revolves around texture stamps, those little helpers that aid in quickly covering large surfaces to prepare them for the final detailing stage. We will be making basic scales, stone and a fine sand structure.

CGCircuit - Applied Houdini - Rigids II version 2.0

Category: FXs | Total Duration: 5h 32m 40s | Level: From Beginner to Intermediate | Tools used: Houdini | Prerequisites: Rigids I
- Applied Houdini is back with a huge upgrade to one of my most popular tutorials, Rigids II - Structure Destruction! In this lesson we're going to procedurally model a building that takes advantage of geometry instancing in order to create a super memory efficient and detailed rigid body simulation that is still art directable! This beautiful concrete and glass building will be held together with a custom constraint system, and then blown up over and over again when we run a bunch of simulations using Houdini's new Procedural Dependency Graph (or PDG) workflow. These "wedges" will use TOPs nodes to run sims at the same time, render previews, burn in text, and even create final movies on disk that we can use to make decisions about our sim settings. Once we converge on a simulation that we like, we'll shade, light, and render it in Mantra - but also as a bonus, I'll show you how to optimally import our result into Solaris as well, using LOPs to bring our still instanced-enabled geometry over to USD so we can render our building collapse in Karma. There's a lot to learn and love in this new update, and I hope you have fun exploring all the new ways making detailed destruction in Houdini is better than ever!
- Applied Houdini is a production quality oriented series created by Steven Knipping, currently a Senior Rigid Body Destruction / FX Technical Director at Lucasfilm's Industrial Light & Magic (Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Aquaman, Star Wars: Rogue One). Benefit from production proven workflows while also getting an in depth explanation of why things works they way they do. Best of all - each video is crammed with actual information and footnotes instead of gratuitous talking and dead space.

- Welcome back to Applied Houdini for Rigids I v2! In this lesson we're going to talk about really understanding how Rigid Body Dynamics work, and how they are represented in Houdini. We'll start with the foundations of packed instancing, transformations, and fracturing, cover constraints and important dynamics properties, and work up to using Houdini's RBD toolset to tackle more complex setups faster than ever before. As usual, the goal is for you to understand how and why things work the way they do so that you can further customize and problem solve on your own. By the end we'll even render it so it looks kind of nice!

- Master Hard Ops & Boxcutter in Just 7 Days And Make Your Blender Workflow 8x Faster Learn the Exact System We've Used to Save Thousands of Hours Over 6+ Years of Professional Modeling - Specifically Designed for Quick Results “If you own Hard Ops & Boxcutter then this is the manual you need to get the full use of the products! These tools are equally amazing and the products are essential, in my opinion, to hard surface modeling. I can honestly say this is one of the best and more essential tutorials I have come across in a while."

- Paint a night landscape that shimmers with colour. In this class I guide you through a cosmic forest where pines meet a sky that seems lit from within and a calm lake mirrors everything back. We will work loosely and let the paint travel, building a scene that is playful, calming and wonderfully expressive. We will use flowing washes for aurora light, gentle lifting to suggest mist, and crisp silhouettes for trees and shoreline. Colour harmony and value design do the heavy lifting, while tiny spatters and soft blooms become stars and atmosphere. The composition stays spacious so the sky can breathe and the water can echo the story above.

- Have you ever looked at an animal and thought, “I wish I could draw this — but I don’t know where to start”? I've got you! In this workshop, we’ll explore how to turn real animal reference images into cute animal illustrations using a simple and playful drawing approach.

- Tired of wasting hours clicking through tabs, searching for inspiration, and copying links into ChatGPT for summaries? In this hands-on course, you'll discover how Comet AI Browser transforms the way you work—letting AI handle the busy work while you focus on creating.

- Learn composition techniques for illustrating a story from first idea to final prototype The combination of narrative and images that children's literature brings together gives life to a powerful visual language, a hallmark of picturebooks. Brazilian writer and illustrator Weberson Santiago is an expert on the subject, having successfully published several books and other projects with major publishers, newspapers, and magazines.

- This course will teach you how to make beautiful cyberpunk and urban environments in Blender. Some of my earliest renders I made in Blender were (quite bad) cyberpunk renders. I found it impossible to get the level of detail I was happy with in such a complex urban setting. I also found it really hard to make my images look good overall, even if I could manage to get some detail in there. I spent probably thousands of hours trying to figure out how to make cyberpunk cities in blender that actually look good, tell a story, and have enough detail to wow people (and not have that rendery fake look).
