Shackleton Font Family

Born in the Victorian era in the United Kingdom, Sir Ernest Shackleton was a polar explorer whose zenith came as the gilded age of his youth faded into the shadows of the 20th century. In August 1914, the Great War was just beginning, a cataclysm that dragged humanity kicking and screaming into the modern age. That same month, Shackleton and a crew of 27 men embarked on what would become one of the greatest, most heroic adventures of our time, the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition.

Nara Sans Font Family

More utilitarian than the original Nara (Serif), Nara Sans aims for better usability and a more contemporary feel. It is closely based on Nara’s rational structure of strokes and its humanist calligraphy models, but in includes rather sharp details for a humanist sans.

CSTM Xprmntl 02 Font Family

The CSTM Xprmntl 02 font family is another representative of the “quick fonts” series at type.today. This experiment unites three completely different fonts in one family: Regular, an ultra-closed sans serif with exaggerated, curling stroke endings; Italic, a contrast serif with deliberately straightened strokes of diagonal glyphs; and Bold, a rough sans serif with an inverted contrast of strokes and proportions. Xprmntl 02 is yet another take on the issues of type compatibility. What if we try to combine seemingly incompatible graphics – fonts of different classification categories, with different personalities and styles – in one space?

FS Brabo Font Family
