CM 1299918 - Botanical Bundle v2

The Botanical Bundle v2 is a new collection of 100 isolated trees and plants. These are real plants derived from photos, not generated in a 3D application. Each plant is on a transparent background, saved in .png format. These plants offer total versatility to you as a designer. They are perfect for print, web and multimedia design. Also great for animation in After Effects projects. All plants have been traced with the PS pen tool, every edge has been touched up to avoid "edge fringe" so they blend in with any background. Some of the hedges can take over one week to complete, so they have perfect clean edges and no floating or stray pixels.

Originally designed in 1998 as 3-font family, updated in 2016 by new italics, SmallCaps and many OpenType functions, resulting in a set of highly visible poster typefaces. If a?text is set in a?good Egyptienne, we can observe a?kind of sparkle in the lines. Slab-serifs are cheerful type faces, possibly due to the fact that they developed simultaneously with Grotesque typefaces. The design principle originating from the first half of the 19th century does not have such firm and long-established roots as for example, the Venetian Roman typefaces, hence it’s much more prone to a?“decline”. We know of Egyptiennes with uneven color, with letters falling backwards (this often happens in the case of “S”), and especially with slightly bizarre modeling of details. In the course of time, however, it was realized that such things could be quite pleasant and tempting. After a?century and a?half we find that such Egyptiennes could refresh the uniform computer typography. The forms of many twisted letters resemble the gesture of a?juggler: others, rectangularly static ones, the profile of a?rail or a?steel girder – things which, in their time, were new and were observed by the first creators of Egyptiennes. These type faces are ideal for circus posters and programs for theatre performances, just as for printing on cement sacks.

A Geometric Sans! with its basic structure inspired by some of our favourite hot metal fonts: Memphis, Karnak, Stymie, Scarab and Paul Renner’s Futura — Regular started as a Slab Serif font in late 2011, however I soon realised that it wasn’t going to bring anything particular new to the faces already available on the market so my design was placed in a drawer. A couple of months passed and on a visit to Antwerp in Belgium, I was reminded of the distinct lowercase ‘g’ featuring in some of the afore mentioned typefaces. High up on a wall was a shadow of a past sign, but a Sans version! This interesting discovery inspired me directly to go back to the font and my early ideas and basically work the Slab Serif font that I had already started, into a Sans! Regular is in many ways a revival but it is also a font that has contemporary references and key words like: Rational, Readable, Refined, Relevant, Reliable and Responsive was part of the check-list during my design process. The carefully crafted range of weights; Light, Regular, Medium, SemiBold, Bold, ExtraBold & Black is ideal for books and magazines and it also lends itself very nicely to screen based projects — The family of fonts incorporates true Italics for each weight which is distinct when set in running text. Regular suggest a Modernist approach to design — but is open for interpretation.
