Weissenhof Grotesk Font Family - 8 FONTS $352
8 Fonts | OTF | RAR 312 KB | SALE PAGE
- Weissenhof Grotesk is a constructed geometric sans serif from Stefanie Schwarz and Dirk Wachowiak – two designers from Stuttgart, where the Weissenhofsiedlung, or Weissenhof Estate, was built in 1927. Their family ships with four weights, each of which has an italic. The typeface’s letterforms are inspired by modern architectural features, such as curves combining with straight segments. The straight-sided “o”, for instance, acts as a pattern for many other letters. Weissenhof Grotesk features monolinear strokes and a good amount of contrast between the stroke thickness of each weight. Its letter proportions tend toward equalisation, without becoming monospaced. The corners of each stroke’s endings are rounded-off.

Recta Font Family - 18 Fonts for $250
18 Fonts | OTF | RAR 209 KB | Recta Font Family
- Recta was one of Aldo Novarese’s earliest contributions to the massive surge of the European sans serif genre that was booming in the middle of the 20th century. Initially published just one year after Neue Haas Grotesk came out of Switzerland and Univers out of France, and at a time when Akzidenz Grotesk and DIN were riding high in Germany and Gill Sans was making waves in Great Britain, it was intended to compete with all of those foundry faces, and later came to be known as the “Italian Helvetica”. It maintains traditional simplicity as its high point of functionality, while showing minimal infusion of humanistic traits. It shows that the construct of the grotesk does not have to be rigid, and can indeed have a touch of Italian flair. While the original Recta family lacked a proper suite of weights and widths, this digital version comes in five weights, corresponding italics, four condensed fonts, and small caps in four weights. It also includes a wide-ranging character set for extended Latin language support.

Minuscule Font Family - 10 Fonts for $500!
OTF | 10 Fonts | +Previews | 4 Mb RAR | SALE PAGE
- Minuscule was inspired by Émile Javal’s research into the physiology of reading. He was a 19th-century opthalmologist, the first to analyze how we read. Minuscule characteristics are large x-height, robust slab serifs, vertical stress, open structure, big counters, low contrast. Minuscule is a typeface for extremely small sizes, and can be used under the commonly acknowledged threshold of legibility (around 7 points). At this stage, the loss is so important during the shift to a lower size that I quickly decided to design a master for each size. Five versions have been developed, optimized for a use in 6 (Minuscule Six), 5 (Minuscule Cinq), 4 (Minuscule Quatre), 3 (Minuscule Trois) and 2 pts (Minuscule Deux). Minuscule received the Certificate of Excellence in Type Design from the Type Directors Club New York, in the TDC2 2005 Type Design Competition (category Text).

Irma Text Font Family - 18 Fonts for €560
OTF | 18 Fonts | +Previews | 4.1 Mb RAR | SALE PAGE
- Irma Text is a fluid Sans-serif typeface which balances two contradictory construction principles. While it has inherited the geometric structure of the previously-published Irma Display typefaces, it is also inspired by the principles of drawing and cursive writing. Although combining geometric and handwritten models may seem paradoxical at first sight, this synthesis of two different construction principles lends the typeface its unique, dynamic character. Irma Text is sophisticated and personal, yet composed and assured. All weights of Irma Text include eight different kinds of numerals. By default, Irma uses ranging numerals (also called OsF or Old-style proportional figures) designed for setting running text. It also, however, includes lining figures proportioned for use with capital letters, tabular numerals (both lining and OsF), superior, inferior, circled and circled inverted numerals (selectable via OpenType features).

- Squoosh Gothic is a serious new contender in the arena of headline fonts. Upright and condensed, Squoosh’s whimsical name belies its true nature. Though, that’s not to say it’s totally devoid of a sense of merriment – it just values a more orderly, regulated kind of tomfoolery. Mad-libs for instance, or The Times cryptic crossword. Its mature but unmistakably witty attitude can go a great distance to lending a sense of culture and an air of scintillation to your designs. Don’t miss out on this sanguine new font, Squoosh Gothic from Thinkdust, available now.

PF Bague Round Pro Font Family 14 Fonts $1106
OTF | WoFF | RAR 3.4 MB | SALE PAGE
- Bague Round is a soft contemporary geometric typeface which blends distinct minimalist characteristics with mainstream details. It originates from Bague Universal, a superfamily with a warm well-balanced texture and a distinct personality. Usually, round sans letterforms tend to look rather organic and playful at heavier weights. This problem was avoided in Bague Round by applying all necessary optical corrections at the rounded corners in order to retain its robust qualities. Mechanical replacement of the stem endings with standard arcs was not implemented and each round form of the horizontal, vertical and diagonal strokes was treated differently from the other.

Charcuterie Font Family - 22 Fonts for $79
22 Fonts | OTF | +Previews | 25.1 Mb RAR | SALE PAGE
- A large and rare undertaking, Charcuterie is a family of ten distinct yet related typefaces, many of which have their own font families, and three decorative/ornamental typefaces. While most of the Charcuterie typefaces are outfitted with a standard character set, Charcuterie Engraved features 135 swash alternates and Charcuterie Cursive boasts 275. Charcuterie Frames offers a broad and endless approach to creating frames of any width, height and style. Featuring 60 corner elements and 20 top, bottom and side pieces along with a detailed User’s Guide in the ‘Gallery’ on how to construct the frames. Charcuterie Catchwords features nine different styles for a total of 82 glyphs. Charcuterie Ornaments is very practical and features 100 glyphs a vast array of arrows, brackets, rules, icons, ribbons and more. This ambitious, yet accessible, set offers a virtually endless series of combinations, allowing each designer to form a tasty platter of ingredients, one that is uniquely theirs, for each project. Used solo or blended with other fonts from this large family, elements of Charcuterie are well suited for headlines, titling, logos, display, packaging, signage, or advertising. Dig deep into each typeface to find a rich set of fonts (the number depending on the typeface), revealing variations upon variations. The word charcuterie means the preparation of meats. Today, it often refers to a wide and varied selection of meats served together, listed as a single, beautiful, and complex menu item. Charcuterie celebrates the personally crafted -- the sense of the human touch giving it a slightly rough edge that only adds to its charm. The ‘roughness’ derives from a slight stressing and small irregularities in some fonts. This bit of unevenness doesn't dominate the look -- it’s simply the personality and humanity of the type designer cooked into the final piece. Charcuterie is an homage to the inventiveness, passion, and care of peasants who proudly handed down recipes through generations. Their humble fare is used by bistro chefs to create masterpieces by ever so slightly transforming the simple into the sumptuous. Similarly, with Charcuterie the designer can employ the handcrafted look of the many letters within these font families to create a project that is jaunty, quirky, and juicy or one that is a gloriously rich and varied feast for the eyes.
