• HS Almidad has been started in coincidence with my designing logotypes consisting of triangle geometric, looking shape and overall structure. After designing several words, I thought of using the design concept of this logo to develop a geometric Kufi font. All letters of this typeface family were conceived with suitable and coordinated dimensions to create five weights: Thin, Light, Regular, Medium and Bold: They support Arabic, Persian, Urdu and Kurdish languages. With a triangle look, this font is a simple and creative addition, which can be useful for book titles and variety of other geometrical constructions projects. It brings new design concept to enhance beauty and harmony and enrich our previous geometrical font contributions, which started with the release of HS Alhandasi, HS Almohandis and HS Alfaris from HibaStuido.

• Inka is the name by which the closest-ones called my partner. Inka is also the name of a text typeface – in its form very friendly and welcoming. The same way as relationships develop through the life, text typefaces develop, too. I had started the work on this typeface about the same time as I met Inka, while reaching the final output has been a long and progressive process. Inka is a modern serif typeface with wide universality in functions (various editorial usages as books, journal, newspapers…). The concept and the scope of the complete type family are based on the principle of optical sizes of the typeface designed for the particular use of the size of typesetting. Inka consists of several drawing variations for the typesetting of small sizes (Small), text typesetting (Text), larger typesetting sizes (Title), and headlines sizes (Display).  Two constructive alternatives, differing in the height of the construction of the font signs, further extend the variability of the usage of the typeface. Inka A has classical proportions ideal for book typesetting. Inka B has lower ascenders and descenders, lower uppercase signs and numbers. Typeface with such construction allows us to use the typesetting efficiently while using tighter interlinear leading and still looking more contemporary. Each of the font set (Display, Title, Text, Small) consists of four weights (Regular, Medium, Bold, Black), each has wide character set and a lot of OpenType features.

Touche - A Geometric Sans with a Special Touch $130

• Touche is a geometric sans with a special touch. It is not made up of the standard geometric forms found in many other typefaces of that genre; the internal strokes on the G and the Q, for instance, are very elongated. A top stroke has been added to the J, without forcing the glyph to become any wider. The S hugs the space inside of it. The lowercase j has been reduced to its barest, most minimal nature, but the lowercase t has an outstroke. All of the family’s letterforms remain optically monolinear, even in the Bold weight.

• Calluna was born more or less by accident.
• When I needed a little break from designing Museo I was just fiddling around a bit to see if maybe a full slab serif would be something to have a look at. The first thing I did, of course, was to put slab serifs on the stems of Museo. When I did, something nice happened. Slab-serifs with a direction! I ended up using the idea for something I always wanted to do: making a rather serious text face. The goal was to make a text font, but one with enough interesting details.
• In the end it all came down to finding the balance in a typeface between the robustness needed to function as a text face and enough refinement to look good as a display font.

• Ever since calligraphic letterforms evolved into type, people have tried to rationalize the lines and curves of letter shapes into geometric forms.
• As far back as the 15th century, Albrecht Dürer (Of the Just Shaping of Letters) endeavoured to describe a serif with circles and arcs: height to width proportions reference the golden ratio.
