New Age Gothic is an original design by Alex Kaczun. It is a contemporary gothic design based on generous proportions and clean crisp lines. Ideally suited for easy reading and long lines of copy. The concept for the design came from a previously successful font family Contax Pro. Alex felt that the skeleton for Contax Pro was ideally suited to modify the design into a true gothic companion typeface series. Numerous modifications where made to the body proportions, stems and shapes. Serifs where added reminiscent to Copperplate Gothic to solidify the overall design. The result is a truly unique modern gothic font. Unlike other typefaces, New Age Gothic incorporates uniform stems throughout the capitals, lower case and figures. This gives the design a uniform appearance in overall color and strength. There is a perfect visual balance between inter-letter spacing, stem weights and proportions.

Accent Graphic was developed as the corporate typeface for a London design consultancy in 1997. The starting point was the word ‘accent’ in lower case. It is essentially a sans typeface with the thick/thin contrast of a serif and is the only family in the G-Type collection that was designed for a client.

Originally conceived in 2007 while I was working through the early sketches of Ginza, Tactical features hard 45-degree angles and the presence of a curve for curve’s sake is just not there. Complimenting the original is a Stencil variant (inspired by the military, marathon video game, explosion-influenced name) and matching Obliques—altogether creating a sharply coordinating family.

Rollerscript is, in effect, a more modern version of Olicana whose letterforms were drafted using a nibbed pen and ink. Handwriting tends to change depending on what instrument you're using and with Rollerscript the outcome is decidedly more casual and informal than Olicana, though equally realistic.

Triana Font Family - 7 Fonts $483

On board of the “Pinta” the Spanish sailor “Rodrigo de Triana” was the first to see land (an out island of the Bahamas) during the night of the 11th and the 12th October 1492 at 02:00 hrs in the morning. I thought to name a font after this daring Jewish-Spaniard! “Triana” is a very thin “monoline” script. It comes in 5 ("Triana-A-B-C-D-E") varieties. The additional "Triana-B-Plus" is the only one that has a little bit of contrast and is therefore not “monoline” but very useful to create that special typographical accent. And I added another extra set "Triana-F" lower-case-end-letters and swirls (please check the keymap). The fonts can all be combined, meaning you can change a letter in a Triana-A-sentence with a letter or two or more of let’s say Triana-C and you can add lowercase endletters by converting the desired letter to a Triana-F letter. This type is almost a sans serif. It has legibility proportions, and a very large, useful family with specially adapted condensed and extended sub-families.

Compared with type set by older technologies, PostScript type, imageset and printed by high-resolution offset lithography, has a remarkable clarity — at any size. While many types, old and new, benefit from this level of definition, few designs specifically exploit it. Beaufort does. Its pointed serifs introduce a sharpness of reproduction that was difficult to achieve, at any size, prior to PostScript. This means that small sizes of Beaufort will combine a high word count with good legibility, while large sizes will always display very fine detail. Optical scaling is not required.
