• Decima is a new display face designed in 2008. The designer’s inspiration was a previous creation, PR41, a monoline condensed typeface developed for use on instrument panels. This time, the intention was to create a typeface with a more modern, yet soft, look while retaining PR41 characteristics. Decima is a condensed geometric San Serif, built in three weights and six styles. The letterforms in roman style are techno in appearance, while italics remind one of handwriting (which is evident in lowercase g, y, z whose loops resemble real italics). In bold weight, the letters retained the condensed matrix of regular weight letterforms, making it ideal for titling usage. Ink traps have been added to some letters to aid readability. Decima is released as OpenType single master with a Western CP1252 character set.

• Back to 1880-1900 when a number of events were coming together, the country was evolving from a local market economy to mass merchandising, rail systems were being built and color lithography was becoming more affordable. The first rail cars full of oranges were being shipped from Southern California to the East - what a treat during a cold winter’s day. Labels were pasted on every fruit crate and these labels had large images of oranges and orange groves. With technological advances in soldered cans, canneries popped up all over the country. In order to market their products many California Canneries pooled their resources to form the California Fruit Canners Assn. in 1899. This font was inspired from that era. • Neubau is a condensed geometric display typeface, designed in 2009. The inspiration for this face came from Joost Schmidt lowercase letters developed during 1925-28 in Bauhaus Dessau. Schmidt was one of the proponents of New Typography – a movement advocating the use of only lowercase letters which were constructed strictly geometrically using only ruler and compass. Neubau family consists of two subfamilies - Neubau Sans and Neubau Serif, each of them in three weights - light, regular and bold.
