• Telidon is an font reminiscent of dot matrix printer fonts of the 1970s and 1980s and are still in use today on retail receipts. Telidon is useful for simulating LED pixel board graphics. • Milibus is a smart, anti-retro sans with battleship styling, technical proportions and even color. Milibus was a stream of consciousness attempt to create something which has a technical/industrial look while avoiding some of the minimalist 1970’s truisms seen in most “techno” fonts: keep everything as modular, square and minimalist as possible. Milibus avoids those modular traps. The construction of the C and S are intentionally utilitarian and DIN-like which helps Milibus avoid looking like it’s simply minimalist for minimalism’s sake. 
• The closed aperture (mouth) of C,G,J,S,a,c,e,s was done party to mimic a 20th Century technical quality but also to avoid the 1990’s platitude of “open means readable” (Lucida, Frutiger etc.). The whole font has a deliberately non-modular look: compare the lowercase latter and you can see how I avoided matching shapes. The vertical strokes on A,V,W,Y,w,v were inspired by 1980’s dot matrix printer fonts which often used flat sides out of geometric necessity. Those flat sides are the reason the lowercase y is unconventional: a orthodox y using flat sides looks awkward and constricted, hence the unique design. The slanted lowercase ascenders are a tribute to 20th Century highway sign lettering and it makes the lowercase l more identifiable from the capital I.

• A Geometric Sans! with its basic structure inspired by some of our favourite hot metal fonts: Memphis, Karnak, Stymie, Scarab and Paul Renner’s Futura — Regular started as a Slab Serif font in late 2011, however I soon realised that it wasn’t going to bring anything particular new to the faces already available on the market so my design was placed in a drawer. A couple of months passed and on a visit to Antwerp in Belgium, I was reminded of the distinct lowercase ‘g’ featuring in some of the afore mentioned typefaces. High up on a wall was a shadow of a past sign, but a Sans version! This interesting discovery inspired me directly to go back to the font and my early ideas and basically work the Slab Serif font that I had already started, into a Sans! Regular is in many ways a revival but it is also a font that has contemporary references and key words like: Rational, Readable, Refined, Relevant, Reliable and Responsive was part of the check-list during my design process. The carefully crafted range of weights; Light, Regular, Medium, SemiBold, Bold, ExtraBold & Black is ideal for books and magazines and it also lends itself very nicely to screen based projects — The family of fonts incorporates true Italics for each weight which is distinct when set in running text. Regular suggest a Modernist approach to design — but is open for interpretation.

• Abdo Salem is the second version of the font FS_Salem which was designed by the type designer Abdulsamie Rajab Salem for Future Soft company fonts.
