'KelbyOne - Concert Photography'
KelbyOne - Concert Photography
There are many challenges to shooting concerts. Photographers have to deal with variable lighting conditions, moving subjects, tight spaces, and a limited time to get the shots they need. Concert photographers Scott Diussa and Alan Hess share some of what they have learned during their years of experience. They talk about their choices for camera gear, their shooting styles, how to anticipate shots, how to get a photo pass and signing releases, working around obstructions, lighting considerations, and the importance of shooting in spot-metering mode. The bad news is that it's tough to make a living as a concert photographer, but both of these instructors agree, it is a very rewarding hobby as a photographer.

Photographers often talk about themselves as "visual storytellers" but ask them about the basic elements of storytelling and they get stuck. We threw the word 'story' around but what does it mean, why does it matter, and how do we use the elements of story and storytelling to make photographs that hook the emotion and the imagination? This presentation is a practical deep dive into those elements, by a photographer whose storytelling abilities were in demand as a humanitarian photographer, and now as a Creative Storytelling Specialist for Apple. This presentation will help you make photographs that connect, and create impact.

This presentation will include lessons on mindset, creativity, and seeing opportunities in the landscape along with technical skills like working with shallow depth of field, focus stacking, and processing skills.

Naturephotographyclasses - Matt Payne - Finding and Leveraging a Connection with Place to Create Unique Grand Scenic Landscapes
https://www.naturephotographyclasses.com/offers/o2FCQyoQ
This presentation delves into the power of connecting deeply with the landscapes we photograph. By understanding the unique qualities of a place—its history, weather patterns, natural rhythms, and our own personal ties to it—we can craft images that resonate with authenticity and purpose. Drawing from years of experience capturing the most remote mountain landscapes of Colorado, I will share how a meaningful relationship with place enhances the creative process and infuses landscapes with emotion and narrative. We’ll explore techniques for planning and scouting, working with changing light and weather, and conveying the grand scale of scenes in a way that goes beyond mere technical skill. Whether you’re aiming to evoke the grandeur of a forest or the serenity of a coastal vista, connecting with the essence of a place can help create images that captivate and inspire.
