I recently came across a brand new photographer who booked their first wedding and asked about preparation for family group photos. This is one KEY post that everyone should find helpful!

I finally had a chance to record the final bits of a long-coming video about how I approach and manage the family group photos of the wedding day. The video is long, but a big part of the length is because I have an unedited b-roll from an actual wedding of 30 or so group photos. You're welcome to skip around that part a bit if it gets boring, but I do recommend you try to watch until the end of the video because there's some follow-up.
