In this deep dive class to my Fashion Illustration: Drawing Straight from the Runway class, we are going to expand our skills further and render a fashion look straight from the Spring 2020 Ready to Wear shows, together! I will show my step-by-step process to rendering a fashion look using markers and color pencils. Our main focus for this class is how to render the pink ombre silk organza dress of this beautiful look from Alexander McQueen’s spring show and specifically how to capture the gradation effect in the fabric, and movement of the textile (see more here). Additionally, I demonstrate how to render skin tone, hair, and light makeup.
This class is geared towards beginners to fashion illustration looking for a challenge and intermediate students who are looking to expand their skills and techniques of marker and color pencil rendering.
