Painting Essentials - Color & Value Charts for Better Paintings

If you want to boost your painting skill, then this course is for you! In this class, I teach you how to make eight color and value charts of my favorite limited palette of 7 colors plus white on an inexpensive paper that is prepped with either a mid-value gray gesso for oil or acrylics, or left white for watercolors and gouache. These color charts will help you get a feel for how intense or saturated your colors are, as well as all the subtle, highly-nuanced shades and tints available for creating your own beautiful paintings.

Each color row will take about 10 to 15 minutes to complete and each of the eight charts will take about 90 minutes.

 

As a bonus, I’ll share with you some of my favorite tips on using color and values to make better paintings.
