The elusive creator of bitcoin created the currency as an example of the potential for blockchain technology. Over recent years we have seen the use of blockchain expand into new areas. There is still a lot of experimentation taking place. This means that there are a lot of opportunities as an investor, developer or service provider, but there are also high risks.
