The library's articulations are aleatoric, long and evolving, with the performer imparting character and movement into each sample. This library focuses on capturing a wide dynamic range of the instruments, highlighting the uniquely varied timbres hidden within those dynamics. Notably, so-called 'whisper tones' were recorded – a difficult technique where the performer uses highly-controlled breaths to produce tone that barely activates the instrument’s resonance. The result is a fragile sound that teeters between breath and pitch. This technique evokes a warm and airy reed-like character from the instrument.
