Blender 4.5
- The dolly zoom, also known as the "Vertigo effect," is a cinematic technique where the camera moves closer or farther from a subject while adjusting the focal length to keep the subject's size constant. This creates a dramatic perspective shift, commonly used in film to convey disorientation or tension.
With Dollyoom, you can perform dolly zooms directly in Blender's 3D Viewport using simple mouse gestures: Press Alt + M and move the mouse left or right to adjust the scene camera's perspective. Hold Shift for fine adjustments. Press C to toggle the focus between the active object and the 3D cursor. Use number keys to numerically set the focal length. The default focus target is the active object, but you can switch it to the 3D cursor for more precise control. How It Works
