Andean geometry reimagined

• Tocapu is a contemporary sans serif inspired by Andean geometry. Built on an architectural logic with faceted details it develops a distinctive voice: truncated cuts, angular counters, and a precise rhythm that feels “carved” without sacrificing clarity.

Designer's Note:

• I took the clean functionality of sans serif fonts as my starting point to establish the base structure, and integrated the reinterpretation of Inca tocapu (often understood as a graphic communication system) to shape the typeface’s personality. The result is a design that speaks between the contemporary and the ancestral. Clean and contemporary in presence, it honors the past while looking forward. Ideal for projects that need a modern tone with an unmistakably human, distinctive character.
