Rotep Font Family
Rotep is a collection of all-caps typefaces inspired by the lettering used through the ROTEP (Roteiro Turistico e Económico de Portugal) map collection, a mid-century Portuguese map collection of almost 300 maps published for almost two decades.
Simple, precise and clear. Rotep Alvor is constructed over crossed bars on letters such A, B, E, F, H, P and R, giving it a unique texture. Rotep Bornes is a related typeface but without cross bars, precise and simple. Both typefaces represent a distillation of Portuguese public lettering of the same era and that remains strongly present in the Portuguese landscape. Available in five weights from light to black, Rotep Alvor & Bornes are two efficient tools for any graphic job were only capitals are required and an efficient choice for public lettering, branding, signage and editorial design.
