Give your footage an authentic cinematic character with Vintage Aspect Ratio & Letterboxes by Blindusk—a carefully crafted collection designed to recreate the imperfect, nostalgic framing of classic film. Instead of relying on generic digital bars, this pack gives your edits the texture, irregularity, and visual personality associated with vintage film scans.

The collection includes 25+ vintage letterbox and aspect-ratio variations, giving filmmakers, editors, content creators, and visual artists a versatile selection of framing styles for different projects. Choose from classic cinematic proportions including 4:3, 16:9, and 2.35:1, and easily experiment with different compositions until you find the perfect frame for your footage.
Each element is provided as a high-quality 4K ProRes scan, capturing authentic film characteristics such as subtle texture, edge imperfections, dust, grain, and organic variations. These details help transform clean digital footage into something that feels more tactile, nostalgic, and cinematic.
The assets are designed to be simple to use. No dedicated plugin is required—simply place the footage or letterbox element above your video, adjust the blending or compositing settings when needed, and instantly introduce a vintage framing aesthetic to your edit.
Whether you are creating a short film, music video, fashion campaign, documentary, commercial, travel film, wedding video, or social-media content, these vintage letterboxes can add a distinctive finishing touch without complicated workflows.
The pack is compatible with popular professional editing applications, including Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and other software capable of working with ProRes video and standard blending/compositing workflows.
