- One of my favorite movies of all time is Back to the Future. Did Marty rock that puffy vest or what?! "Hey kid, what's with the life preserver?" That dude had STYLE! The puffy vest all but vanished in the early 90's and didn't reappear until recent years. And, personally, I would have to credit Michael J. Fox for the "Return of the Puffy Vest". I mean, if every clothing retailer could afford his celebrity endorsement, and if Fox were willing, they would use his photos from the movie, exclusively, to advertise! Nobody wears it better! Which makes me wonder.... where the heck is the puffy vest in this collection of casual clothing?? UGH! Let it be known here... our next clothing collection WILL contain a 3D model of the puffy vest!

- So I write a lot if these descriptions based on the first thing that comes to mind, even if it's only remotely relevant. So what did this collection of athletic apparel 3D models remind me of? One of my favorite comedies of the 80's, Naked Gun! Remember Lt. Frank Drebbin behind the plate at the baseball game? First he butchers the American anthem, then he's calling strikes before the ball even reaches the batter, then he's trying to eject the other umpires from the game! It's classic! Well, when you drop the baseball gear into your 3D scene look up to the heavens and thank Leslie Neilson for the great laughs he left behind.

- I still remember the old days when a client would send over a design for a restaurant and I would always dread the thought of having to show the slightest glimpse of stainless steel. If it was before the days of fuzzy reflections, it never looked right at all. And in the first few years after they came out, they looked better, but killed your render times! And this was after you went through the hassle of modeling various pieces of equipment! It just never seemed to pay off! Well, fortunately the render times are rarely an issue these days and the stainless materials are quite realistic. The only challenge left is obtaining the models! You've come to the right place, my friend. 33 3D models make this collection shine!

- In a related story from Volume 28, there is little doubt that I could have been a more mature pre-teen. But hello! What fun would that have been?? My other favorite neighborhood game was the old "ring 'n' run"! You quietly approach someone's front door, (with your friends, of course) pound on the door and/or ring the bell a few times, and head for the bushes like your life depended on it! What a thrill!! Then when you watched the ticked-off home owner stand there looking around... oh that was the icing on the cake! Those were the good ol' days.
- There are 8 houses in this 3D model collection, none of which have functional doorbells. So if you want to be like me (when I was 11), I'm afraid you'll have to go outside.

- Manhunt... possibly the greatest kids game ever! As a kid, I lived in the perfect neighborhood for this adventurous pastime. It had tall trees, no walls between homes, few street lamps, and well defined boundaries. It was hide and seek for big kids! I think I'd like to start up an adult Manhunt league, complete with beer stations! Of course, if anyone catches you at the station you have to drink a full pint before you're off and hiding again! Who's in?!?

- For one reason or another over the last two years, I've spent a fair amount of time in hospitals. The equipment they have these days is seriously impressive. The technology is amazing! So why are patients always waiting forever to be transported by us low-tech humans?? Can that not be automated? All they'd need to do is take the guts from a Roomba, add some Wi-Fi so they could talk to each other, an infrared camera to avoid hitting people, and voila! It'll be just like the transporters in Wall-E!
