Thank you so much for coming here to read what we’re all about when it comes to this new adventure! Elle-May and myself have been photographing most all of our lives, myself for the better part of the last 10 years and her as well! We both come from the extremes of photography, at 1924 it’s mainly been moody vibes, soft light and inclement weather. For Elle, it’s been harsh light, beautiful sunsets/rises and high-fashion done in an approachable way. We’ve teamed up over the last four years shooting one another, weddings, client’s campaigns, products, landscapes, books, magazines, etcetera. It’s been a very diverse, challenging and rewarding experience. We both have been talking in that time about the depth and meaning behind photography to us, and how we want to share our vision of it with others! So, we’ve been putting all that talk to action and are now in the final stages of filming our next class on Photography and Styling!

A kit of seven high res textures to use across imagery, type, cinemagraphs (any kind of editing really:). I have always used textures to blend edits, however have recently loved using them to experiment further with my images. It's always super cool to see a feeling evoked through editing! All of these textures I have hunted down and photographed myself. They are made for photoshop - with simple layering and blending. They come with an instruction page, just incase you would like to see how to best use them.
1924us x Elle-May - How To Draw
https://www.1924.us/design-tools/how-to-draw
It’s finally nearly here!! With over 5 hours recorded into the Drawing Tutorial, right around 3.5 hours will showcase our drawing process, beginning from inspiration to tools and pen and paper, how we make a cup of coffee to start the day, the tools we use in detail, a bit about shading, composition, layout, philosophy, talks on talent, how to make good art and much more! Filmed in the 1924us studio, this is an intimate first-look at the behind the scenes of our space, our desk and how we build out work for clients from the perspective of drawing! Whether you’re a beginning artist or an experienced one, i believe there is something to learn here, and we hope regardless of if you’re into drawing or not, you find some level of inspiration from the lifestyle shared here. This video workshop (similarly executed to our How to Brand video) will go over how i have learned to draw, how i execute ideas, where i get ideas from, how i start sketching ideas, inking, gear i use, process, time length, how i get inspired, stay inspired and push through in the drawing process. What happens when i make a mistake? And all the rest! There’s so much that goes into it.

The Sentiments texture kit is compiled of genuine antique textures taken from our own collection. This is my personal favorite so far, as I keep experimenting with each one I discover a new cropped pattern giving the individual textures a completely new feel over an image. We plan to create Vectorized textures with these also as they add beautiful elements to design work, but for now I hope you have fun using these for photography / edits and photo compilations!
